Levi Johnston, Bristol Palin's baby daddy, attended Sunday night's 2009 Teen Choice Awards with comedienne Kathy Griffin. 19 year-old Johnston walked down the red carpet hand-in-hand with the 38 year-old "D-Lister," but was noticeably less enthused than his outspoken date.

"I just, you know, look at her, shut up and do what I'm told," said the teen father, whose son, Tripp, is now 7-months-old.

Griffin made her way down the red carpet gunning for publicity saying that she and her much younger beau have been an item for quite some time but admitting the distance makes things difficult at times.

"Long-distance relationships are not easy, especially when he's in his igloo and I'm in my Hollywood tower,"

Griffin said the stunt was not being used on her hit Bravo TV show My Life on the D-List.

The outspoken comedian went on to add that while she has been to Alaska before, it was probably a different social atmosphere than what Johnston was used to associating with.

"I have played Alaska, but so nowhere near where he grew up," said Griffin, 38. "I played a Rosie [O'Donnell] lesbian cruise there and I'm pretty sure Levi wasn't on that cruise. I mean, I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure Levi is not kicking it with the lesbian cruises."

I guess the D-List is better than no list at all.

The Kathy Griffin Levi Johnston date is a non-incident, but perhaps explanation is warranted.  Kathy Griffin took Levi Johnston as her date to the Teen Choice Awards – and he seemed to be appreciative.  They aren't dating – they appeared for a few hours in public – and that appears to be it.  Griffin is a comedienne of indeterminate skill – read what you will, some don't find her that funny – and Johnston is Bristol Palin's "baby daddy." No word on whether he's found a job yet, since he was laid off.  At any rate, I'd give an instant payday loan to make this Kathy Griffin Levi Johnston thing go away.
