Katy Perry in Talks to Create 3D Documentary-Style Film
Her personal life has certainly had its ups and downs as of late, but Katy Perry is showing no signs of slowing down when it comes to her career.
The "One That Got Away" singer is in talks with Paramount and Imagine Entertainment to create a 3D documentary-style film with pop-stardom as the focus.
A source close to the deal told The Hollywood Reporter that Paramount is looking to create something similar to the uber-successful "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never."
Nothing has been confirmed just yet, but from the sounds of it, the future project will move along quickly once logistics are figured and contracts are signed.
Ever since splitting with her ex-husband Russell Brand, Perry has been keeping a low profile, relatively speaking.
And now it sounds like she's ready to re-emerge, as the "Hot N Cold" songstress has been announced as a performer at the upcoming 2012 Grammy Awards.
Katy will be rocking out along with fellow performers Adele, Jason Aldean, Kelly Clarkson, Bruno Mars, Rihanna, and Taylor Swift.
She's also up for two trophies, including Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
Making her first official public appearance since news of her divorce broke, Katy Perry played host at the 1 Oak At The Mirage grand opening in Las Vegas on Friday night (January 27).
The newly-single "Firework" songstress rocked a colorful blue coif as she was was joined at the soiree by J. Molinari jewelry designers Markus Molinari and Jason Arasheben, as well as hotel heiress sisters Paris and Nicky Hilton , Shenae Grimes , Christina Milian and David Arquette.
Acting as a charity fundraiser for GiveLove.org, proceeds from the event benefit the foundation's efforts "to provide temporary housing solutions and sanitation systems in earthquake-stricken Haiti."
Of getting Katy to front the Sin City celebration, Eli Pacino, managing partner of 1 Oak, said, "Markus Molinari & Katy Perry are best friends, coming together to bring awareness to an amazing cause GiveLove.org."
After having just wrapped her California Dreams tour, Katy Perry was spotted arriving back into the States via LAX Airport in Los Angeles last week (January 23).
The 27-year-old pulled her sweatshirt's hood over her blue locks as she did her best to make a low-key pass through the metro terminal en route to an awaiting car.
The sighting comes after Miss Perry stirred up plenty of chatter during her tour closing show in the Philippines over the weekend thanks to a moment in which she pulled 21-year-old model Ivan Dorschner for an onstage smooch.
While a local newspaper called the Philippine Star made the Perry/Dorschner moment sound R-rated, Katy addressed the matter, stating that it was nothing but an innocent part of her act.
Of her on-stage antics, she tweeted, "Btw, I have *kissed* 1 boy, picked randomly out of the audience, on the cheek as a part of my show for all 125 tour dates. Simmer down now."
