Ricardo's Mediterranean Kitchen, an award-winning family-run restaurant just north of Kelowna, B.C., is holding a special community fundraiser to support Youth Challenge International (YCI) on November 3rd.

YCI is a program empowering youth around the world to create positive change, including Kelowna resident, Marita Jamieson who will be volunteering in Tanzania this spring.

Twenty-five percent of food sales and one hundred percent of silent auction proceeds will be donated to YCI.

During their volunteer expedition, Marita and six other volunteers will work closely with youth and community partners in Tanzania on development projects related to HIV/AIDS, literacy, environmental awareness and human rights.

This event continues the Ricardo's tradition of supporting causes that matter.
