Those wily folks at Wired have unmasked the twisted minds behind @FakeAPStylebook. Turns out @FakeAPStylebook began life as #FakeAPStylebook, and is the pet project of Ken Lowery (@kenlowery) and Mark Hale(@chaosmonkey). They're not even coy about it. Like the Dread Pirate Roberts, they confirm their identity with pride. And @FakeAPStyelbook should be proud, since it has at least 11,000 more followers than the real @APStylebook.

In light of all this cultivated anonymity, I expected my e-mail to go unanswered, but no, Lowery was only too glad to confirm my suspicion, and shared the news that they’ve acquired an agent. He even provided me with a staff listing.
