Kiefer Sutherland Dons A Dress For David Letterman Appearance
Amid the late night wars going on over at NBC 24 star, Kiefer Sutherland, delivered some much needed levity as he donned a dress for his appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman. On last night's Late Show Sutherland emerged from backstage wearing a dainty green printed dress, a white long-sleeve shirt, and combat boots, much to Letterman's surprise and Sutherland's own mortification.
As the story goes, Sutherland made a bet with a friend of his that if the New England Patriots lost to the Baltimore Ravens he would slip into a dress for his Late Show appearance. As soon as the audience stopped laughing, Letterman chimed in with a little dig saying, "you're doing the remake of Beverly Hillbillies? You're granny? You're…what's happening here?"
Sutherland was on the Late Show to promote the new season of his hit show 24, which is going green in its eighth season.
“When we started around season four, the goal was to be able to make 24 and not leave a carbon footprint, I don’t know if that’s possible because we have to drive to work, but all of the trucks we’re using are hybrids. We’re not using gas fuels and there are a lot of things being done within the office and the production building as well. We’ve made a marked improvement from where we were in season one.”
The latest season of 24 premieres Sunday, January 17 at 9 p.m. with a followup episode the next night at 8 p.m.
