Kim Kardashain is On the Cover of Cosmopolitian Magainze in Turkey This Month

The largest Armenian group in America has said to Turkish Cosmo, that putting Kim Kardashian on their cover was "disrespectful" to both Kim and all Armenians.

Kardashian is on the cover of the Turkey magazine, the same month of Genocide Remembrance Day, which is to honour the victims of the 1915 Armenian genocide by the Turkish people.

Kim said she did not know that her photo was going to run this month.

"Cosmopolitan Magazine has a number of international editions all around the world that run in various territories, and when I did this shoot for the international covers I had no idea that Turkey was planning to run my story on their cover THIS month, considering Genocide Remembrance Day is this month."

"My Armenian heritage means a lot to me and I’ve been brought up to be incredibly proud of my family’s background and culture so as an Armenian-American woman it is a huge honor for me to be on the first ever Armenian Cosmopolitan cover," Kim continued.

The Armenian National Committee of America told TMZ that it was disrespectful to all Armenians for the publishers of Cosmo to use her image, without telling her, especially on the month when Armenians mark the genocide by the Turkish people.
