Kim Kardashian & Kris Humphries Celebrate Their Engagement

Heading for a post-engagement trip out of the country, Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries have touched down in Monaco.

The reality star and professional basketball player took to the small European nation to celebrate their upcoming summertime nuptials with Humphries' family.

As Humphries revealed to People, he had every detail of the trip nailed down prior to popping the question, telling, "I wanted to propose before the trip so we could really spend some quality time together with my family as a couple. I planned it out this way."

The elated bride-to-be added, "We're celebrating … on a family vacation with them."

After the news of their engagement broke yesterday, (May 25) Khloe Kardashian took to her blog to express her excitement.

"You have no idea how happy it makes me to be able to say this -- KIM IS ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations to my beautiful big sister Kim on finding the love of your life! Seeing you this happy makes all of us BEYOND happy and my face literally hurts from smiling."

Kim told People that her NBA player beau had spelled out "Will You Marry Me" in rose petals on her bedroom floor and was waiting for her when she came home on May 18th.

"I didn't expect this at all. I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now."

And Humphries definitely brought his A-Game when it came to picking out a ring. He bought Kim a 20.5-carat Lorraine Schwartz creation, explaining, "I just knew I wanted it to be big."

TMZ reported that the 26-year-old dropped a cool $2 million on the sparkler, which is comprised of a 16.5 carat emerald cut center stone bordered by a 2 carat trapezoid on each side.

Despite their engagement coming as a shock to pretty much everyone, Kim says she knew Kris was the one for her early on.

The 30-year-old "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" babe told press it didn't take long for her to fall head over heels in love with the NBA stud.

"I really fell in love with him as a person - he's such a good person with a good heart. Everyone that meets him says the same thing," Kim said.

"If I've had a long day, I'm working really hard or I'm stressed, I just can't wait to come home to him. The time that we've spent together, we have so much fun together and he always, no matter what, puts me in a good mood."

Kris echoed these same sentiments, telling, "I think probably within a month of meeting her I knew she was 'The One.'"
