Still, Chmerkovskiy -- who blamed his injury on "muscle strains" -- looked visibly upset knowing that his slip-up could potentially cost Alley her spot on next week's show.

"It happens," he told host Brooke Burke, 39. "It has nothing to do with her. I just want to apologize."

Alley just said the duo have fallen a milliion times, and they earned 21 points for their efforts.
