He's been targeted with rumors of homosexual behavior, but John Travolta is straight as an arrow according to his friend, Kirstie Alley.

The "Dancing With the Stars" babe spoke with Barbara Walters this morning (November 7) just as her new memoir, appropriately titled "The Art of Men", hit shelves yesterday.

During the interview, Kirstie assured both the ABC host as well as viewers that her "Look Who's Talking" co-star is definitely into the ladies (specifically his wife, Kelly Preston) and has never had any encounters with other men.

She began, "I know John with all my heart and soul; he's not gay. I think in some weird way, in Hollywood, if someone gets big enough and famous enough, and they're not out doing drugs and they're not womanizing, what do you say about them?"

Alley also admitted that John was, at one time, "the greatest love of my life. It took everything I had inside, outside, whatever, to not run off and marry John and be with John for the rest of my life... I feel like when you marry someone, you're supposed to work hard at it and you're supposed to make it work."

The "Fat Actress" star also penned a segment on the late Patrick Swayze, with whom she worked with on the 1985 film "North and South". From the sound of it, Alley, wed to Parker Stevenson at the time, was crushing hard on the "Dirty Dancing" star.

After admitting that the two never consummated any kind of relationship, Kirstie told Walters, "I probably was more willing to break up my marriage, and I wasn’t willing to break up his marriage."
