Kurtis Blow: Marijuana Detected in Full Body Scan

Old-school rap legend Kurtis Blow (born Kurtis Walker Combs) fell afoul of new-school airport scanning technology. A full-body scan detected an "anomaly" in Kurtis Blow's pants (insert joke here), which turned out to be a small bag of marijuana. Kurtis Blow was not arrested, and was allowed to fly. Good thing he wasn't traveling with breast milk, or the story would not necessarily have had a happy ending.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... the body scan detected "an anomaly' in his pants -- yes, we thought that was funny as well. A subsequent pat down revealed pot in his pocket.

For those of you who don't know who Kurtis Blow is, get educated: the artist formerly known as Kool DJ Kurt was the first rapper to sign with a major label, and his second single, "The Breaks" was the first rap track to go certified Gold. That was in 1980. Kurtis Blow also wrote tracks for Run DMC and The Fat Boys.
