American Idol – The Final 24

American Idol is set to begin once again on Tuesday night when the final 12 ladies take to the Kodak Theatre stage looking to put an end to the guys two season winning streak. BetUS Sportsbook’s odds to win it all are fresh off the presses, and the females came away favored at -150 to win it all.  Here’s a look at the 12 remaining females that made it to this point with Simon Cowell, Kara Dioguardi, Randy Jackson, Ellen DeGeneres, and a host of other judges scrutinizing their every move. Without further ado, say hello to the ladies….

1) Vered “Didi” Benami 23 Knoxville, TN (+800) – This 23 year old has fantastic range, and has Kara in her back pocket after she pulled off a fabulous rendition of her song “Terrified” in Hollywood Week; Simon’s a big fan as well. BetUS tagged her the cream of the crop to win it all in the ladies field at +800. You’ll most definitely be hearing about how she’s doing this competition in honor of her best friend Rebecca who passed away four years ago.

2) Ashley Rodriguez 22 Chelsea, MA (+800) – Ashley blew the judges away in her Boston audition with her looks and ability to own Alicia Keyes’ track “If I Ain’t Got You”. Kara believes her to be very sultry, and Simon believes she has “it”, while Victoria Beckham called her a natural beauty. She’s got the looks and the voice to win this whole thing.

3) Crystal Bowersox 24 Eliston, OH (+900) – Call me a sucker for a lady that can play a guitar and flat out howl! That’s exactly what Crystal brings to the table. That said; I need to see more from the Ohio native to make sure she’s not another Amanda Overmyer or Gina Glocksen from previous seasons that can only blow one genre away.

4) Katie Stevens 17 Middlebury, CT (+900) – The 17 year old is a great natural talent that was by no means intimidated by the bright lights of “Hollywood Week”. She wants her ailing grandmother see her succeed in her dream before she passes, which has this naturally talented youngster very determined.

5) Janell Wheeler 24 Orlando, FL (+1000) – Janell’s one of many female lookers in this contest, but the Tampa native can bring it as well. The judges loved her and she seemed to move on through every stage with ease. She’s got a twang to her voice that should reel in the votes down the road.

6) Haeley Vaughn 16 Fort Collins, CO (+1500) – Haeley’s by far one of the most interesting looking contestants of the final 24, but she exudes talent and this “miracle child” could make a deep run provided she doesn’t annoy the heck out of the voting public. She hopes to make her mark as a pop/country mainstream singer. All the judges are on board this ride.

7) Siobhan Magnus 19 Barnstable, MA (+2000) – Siobhan and her group accused another act of stealing their bit, but she hardly stood out anyway. She shined however when she took Ellen’s advice to cut loose in her final performance of Hollywood Week. She comes off eerily reminiscent of Adam Lambert when she hits the high notes, and comes into this competition already having a following.

8) Lacey Brown 24 Amarillo, TX (+2000) – Lacey just fell short of the final 24 in AI Season 8 when she lost a sing off to of all people, Megan Joy Corkrey. Simon played with her a bit, but eventually succumbed to give her the good news. Her experience and confidence certainly have her pegged as one of my dark horses.

9) Katelyn Epperly 19 Des Moines, IA (+3000) – The 19 year old is very cute, but unfortunately for the Des Moines native, I really feel that’s why she’s gotten this far. Don’t get me wrong, she has a nice voice. But it surely didn’t blow me away and it’s not the caliber of the many girls lined ahead of her in the American Idol betting odds.

10) Lilly Scott 20 Littleton, CO (+3000) – You can tell from Kelly’s looks that she’ll be one of the more eccentrically dressed contestants throughout the competition. She boasts tremendous range, but I’m not quite sure she believes in herself enough to be a major player in this contest.

11) Paige Miles 24 Cypress, TX (+4000) – We didn’t get to see much of Paige the last couple weeks, but Simon was seen telling her she’s much better than she thinks she is when she found out she was part of the top 24. BetUS oddsmakers aren’t believers listing her with the biggest payout of all the ladies.

12) Michelle Delamor 22 Miami, FL (+4000) – The 22 year old put off auditioning for AI to work on her own showcase, but the smiley 22 year old will look to take the nation by storm with her uniqueness.
