"Fame Kills," the highly anticipated tour starring Kanye West and Lady Gaga has been canceled. Live Nation announced the tour cancellation in a brief statement made Thursday. Despite this news, however, Lady Gaga will embark on her own solo tour later this year.

After the VMA's incident in which Kanye took to the stage in support of Beyonce during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech, there has been much speculation as to whether the joint tour between West and Gaga would go ahead as planned. Gaga has confirmed these doubts in a brief statement made before the annual Billboard Women in Music event on Friday. She stated that her and Kanye

"mutually decided to cancel the tour." West is "going to take some time off, but I'm not," she added.

All tickets for the "Fame Kills" tour will be refunded, but no detailed statement will be made about the tour's cancellation according to Live Nation.
