Lady Gaga Gives Surprise Performance in Las Vegas
She's been on a kick where she surprises fans by putting on an unannounced performance, and last night (March 24), Lady Gaga popped in at a club in Las Vegas.
The "Bad Romance" singer showed up at Krave and treated the lucky crowd to a live performance of "Born This Way." The surprise appearance precedes her scheduled concert for tonight, which takes place at the MGM Grand.
Making for the second surprise in less than 24 hours, Gaga released the "Country Road Version" of "Born This Way" on Twitter this morning.
The new track has a prominent harmonica flavor and a soothing acoustic guitar blend that gives the melody a whole new context.
Of course, Gaga isn't making a shift in her career, but it's cool to hear her exploring other avenues for her sound.
Yesterday the eccentric singer sat down for an hour-long interview on "Musicians @ Google Presents: Google Goes Gaga " where she sounded excited to talk about her new video for the single "Judas."
The 24-year-old pop star shared that she'll be directing the project, along with her creative director Laurieann Gibson.
She also added, "It's no surprise, I'm sure, to many of you, that Judas is a man of the biblical senses, so expect to see some symbolism in this video."
Of the track, Gaga explained, "You have to look into what is haunting you and you need to look into forgiving yourself in order to move on. And it's really fun to dance to and sounds like it could be a pop priest record."
With close to seven weeks left before she drops her "Born This Way" album, Lady Gaga's creative director revealed that this record will have the Little Monsters going, well, gaga.
The first single from the album has sat at the top of the charts for weeks, and as Gaga readies the release of "Judas," Gibson said it's just the beginning.
"This new album is spectacular. And I got to tell you, you got to really stand by and take notice, 'cause the album is excellent. It's of such excellence that I think that everyone's going to be really impressed and affected."
Laurieann continued telling of her excitement by dishing, "The records are so visual and large and the concept of birthing has so many levels to it and the dance is never limited, that you're just gonna keep seeing an extension of this story. And hopefully [we] get humanity to a place where we can effect change."
