Lady GaGa To Judge X Factor & Katy Perry To Judge American Idol?

The musical talent search show that is American Idol has recently seen some turnover with Paula Abdul recently leaving the judging panel. Now the British equivalent of Idol, X Factor, may be getting a new judge. Reports from the UK claim that X Factor's Simon Cowell is looking to recruit Lady GaGa to the judging panel. Rumour has it that Cowell has offered GaGa a job as an X Factor judge. GaGa would definitely be a strong personality on the show that could see an expansion in viewership if she were to join the X Factor judging panel.

One issue up for consideration is that Paula Abdul, having left American Idol, is also a candidate for the X Factor judge position. GaGa's undeniable vocal ability and capabilities as a stage performer would make her an ideal candidate for a judging position as she has experienced what its like to be an up-and-coming artist. Abdul on the other had has been in the industry for longer, and already has experience judging a show of similar nature.

American Idol may also be getting a new judge soon. The show featured four guest judges this week including: Neil Patrick Harris, Nick Jonas, Avril Lavigne, and Katy Perry. One guest judge may be coming back for a more permanent role, however. Katy Perry is rumoured to be a possible candidate for a full-time American Idol judging position.
