Lady Gaga's Alejandro Music Video Released: Watch the Video
Lady Gaga's Music Video for Alejandro Has Been Released June 8
Fans have been waiting for Gaga's new video and hopefully this one will not disappoint. It is not as long as Telephone, as it runs almost nine minutes in length.
It starts with just 'GAGA' across the screen, then pans across a sleeping shirtless man wearing fishnet stockings. Then 'KLEIN' comes on the screen as Steven Kelin (world-famous photographer) directed the video.
Finally we see the title 'ALEJANDRO' and now we can see more sleeping men sitting up in chairs. A very cool military-style dance number opens the video before we see Gaga about a minute in wearing what looks to be a modified deep sea diving helmet.
She is at a funeral with a coffin being carried by soldiers and what looks like it could be a heart being carried on a pillow. About 2 minutes in Gaga starts singing, giving a eulogy at what we can assume is Alejandro's funeral.
The dancing is fabulous, very strong and together, although I wanted to see more of Gaga dancing at the beginning.
When she appears dressed as a nun you can already hear the criticisms forming, especially as that is cut into scenes of Gaga in a nude body outfit controlling men on beds with leashes.
Finally Gaga dances and we see some echoes of Bad Romance, but it's all Gaga and it's very good. Lots of simulated sex on the beds too.
At one point she is a Joan of Arc figure with a fake fire burning in the background.
The next part, filmed in black and white is very reminiscent of Madonna's Express Yourself song, not only the video but also when Madonna performed on stage in her Blond Ambition tour when she was wearing a cone bra.
Very stylized sex and violence dominates the rest of the video with Gaga ending up naked in a crowd of very buff male dancers.
What do you think of the video? Do you like it?

Somewhere in the high quality artisitic theatrics lies a great voice. Not much left to imagination with GAGA anymore!
