Lady Gaga's new song "Born This Way" debuts in Paris
This isn't the first time her music was used for a high end fashion show, and Lady Gaga's new song "Born This Way" recently debuted at the Thierry Mugler Paris Men's Fashion Week show.
Earlier today (January 19), the "Bad Romance" singer tweeted her excitement, "MUGLER PARIS SHOW begins in 2 hours. I am so excited my fashion bones are rattling. The garments + music are poetic intoxication."
Sharing the same enthusiasm, Mugler frontman Nicola Formichetti was interviewed before the show and told, "It's me and her just having fun and getting very inspired from the idea of Mugler. She's very much involved, more in the early stages."
"I want people to think, 'OK, there's something new happening.' I want people to get excited again, not only fashion people," he added about his work on the brand. "I'm not here to recreate what [Mugler] did. It was perfect for the time. I'm going to do something for today and the future."
The day before the event, Gaga tweeted, "I'm the musical director for the MUGLER fashion show. I'm remixing/previewing a record on Born This Way, tailored for the show + garments."
Earlier this month, the popular and creative singer was seen promoting her new Polaroid offerings in Las Vegas (January 6).
Teaming up with the brand to promote her co-designed Grey label, Gaga said, "I wanted to create products that I knew [people] would love to use."
Clearly happy with the technology tool, the "Poker Face" star continued, "To create cameras and a printer and glasses that I knew would work into their lifestyle as music fans, as concert goers -- as wild party kids."
Explaining how much went into the project, the 24-year-old told, "It's been a really long and exciting and grueling and imaginative process."
"We've done everything that we can to improve the instant camera to make it new, to feel better in your hand and make it compatible with the digital era."
Lady Gaga will be performing at the Grammy Awards on February 13th, along with acts like Eminem, Cee Lo Green, Katy Perry, and Arcade Fire.
