DIRTY DANCING - (Ive Had) The Time of My Life

The town of Lake Lure in North Carolina, where most of the movie Dirty Dancing was filmed, is planning a memorial service for Patrick Swayze at 7pm on Saturday September 19th at Firefly Cove. This is a housing development that was Camp Chimney Rock in the movie.
Most of the outdoor scenes were filmed there and the cabin that was the home of Johnny Castle, Patrick Swayze's character, is there as well.

The service is free and open to all, but visitors are urged to make a donation to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

The movie was filmed in Lake Lure in 1986.

Map to get there.
