Well the title I gave to this article pretty much says it all. I mean this movie is like a Thanksgiving Turkey, except there's not much stuffing to be had. Now I was a big fan of the late great 1974 television series "Land of the Lost" from Sid and Marty Krofft and believe me they didn't have the budget or the special effects the new version of The Land of the Lost movie has, but unlike the television show which was kinda of cheesy. The new movie Land of the Lost isn't just cheesy; it's a down right turkey.

The movie stars Will Ferrell who's about as interesting in this movie as Eddie Murphy was in Pluto Nash. I mean that guy from the Six Flags commercial is way more interesting too watch then Will Ferrell in this movie. Not only is Will Ferrell not funny, he's down right boring and you really wish he was just eaten up by the T-rex early in the movie and done with, unfortunately you have to suffer with him till the end of the movie. Kind of a cruel joke by the producers of this movie which just keeps proving the fact that Hollywood has no clue as to how to make a good feature film anymore. Hollywood's answer to a good movie is simply blow up something every minute, spend big time bucks on special effects or add lots of sex and violence. All of which the public for now is buying. In the case of the Land of the Lost it's special effects, as the special effects are fantastic, that's about all that can be said about the movie in general.

The only bright star in this movie is Anna Friel from the recently cancelled Pushing Daisies. Something that ABC should regret and be ashamed for a thousand times over. As Pushing Daisies makes Land of the Lost look like Gone with the Wind. Anna in this movie is just as terrific as she was in Pushing Daisies and just as much fun too watch. Too bad she's not with Ned and stuck with Will Ferrell for the entire movie. I mean ouch, that's all I can say.

The plot is simply it's about breaking into the space time vortex and the whole movie from there on goes down hill. I mean best suggestion if your going to see this movie, bring a blanket and a pillow cause your going to need it.
