Larry King Divorce: No Prenup Means Shawn King Could Be Rich

Larry King and Shawn Southwick / King Did Not Have a Prenup

According to TMZ, Larry King and his eight wife Shawn Southwick did not have a prenup agreement when they got married, so this divorce could mean a big payout for Shawn.

It is not known exactly why Larry King did not get a prenup with Shawn, but as one source said:

As one source close to the situation tells TMZ, "She is a tall, good-looking blonde and that pretty much explains it."

Larry King is reportedly worth about $144 million and he currently has a contract with CNN for $56 million over four years, so that means that if Shawn gets half of that, which she is entitled to, she could get anywhere between 50 million and 100 million as the couple have been married 13 years.

In the state of California all earnings accumulated during the marriage are split 50 / 50.

There have been some rumors of infedility on both sides, with Larry King accused of cheating with Shawn's sister, Shannon Engemann, and Shawn may have had an affair in 2008 with a man named Hector Penate who used to be the baseball coach for Larry's sons.

Both Larry King and Shawn Southwick have merely cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason behind their split. Neither side is really talking about the split and Larry King is not discussing her personal affairs on his CNN show.
