As NowPublic previously reported, several artworks produced by the late Haida carver Bill Reid were stolen from the UBC Museum of Anthropology in May.

Thankfully, the last of the missing pieces has now been recovered, however, the RCMP's investigation is ongoing.

The RCMP has recovered the last two Bill Reid pieces stolen from the University of B.C.'s Museum of Anthropology in May, police announced Wednesday.

Police have recovered the gold eagle brooch intact and the carved argillite pipe with two inches of it broken off and missing. All the stolen Bill Reid pieces have been returned to the museum, but police still have three, heavily damaged pieces of Mexican jewelry in their possession.

The RCMP is preparing a report to submit to Crown Counsel, which will include the details of the break and enter and theft of the items. Police are still looking for information to help them find the broken off piece of the argillite pipe and ask anyone with information about it to call 778-886-2870 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477
