There were rumors all week that Paul McCartney might play. When Billy Joel announced him, the crowd went wild. He first sang "I Saw Her Standing There," which Newsday reports was the first song the Beatles sang during their first concert at Shea in 1965. Then, at the end of the night, after Billy Joel's signature Piano Man finale, Paul McCartney came back out and sang the last song to be sung at Shea Stadium, "Let it Be." It was very cool of Billy Joel to let McCartney have the last song.
