American Idol's Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery both had 'oops' moments when they performed on Thanksgiving 2011

Lauren Alaina sang the National Anthem at Thanksgiving NFL game between the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers.

While everything started off fine, she forgot the lyrics to the National Anthem when she reached the part 'twilight's last gleaming'.

She did not make up anything else, but the pause seemed like an eternity for everyone watching, and for her as well, I'm sure.

But as the announcer said, 'it's all about how you finish' and she had no other screw-ups during the song.

Check out the video to the right.

For Scotty McCreery, he may have been even more embarrassed, because his flub was starting late to the lip-synch a song during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

He was standing on a float for the parade, and as the announcer said his name and the song 'The Trouble With Girls' started, McCreery's microphone was clearly still by his waist.

It's cringe-worthy for sure.
