Larry Mendte ,considered by many to be the Dean of news anchors in the Philadelphia TV market , is being probed by the FBI for snooping on the email of former coanchor Alycia Lane. Larry Mendte arrived at work Friday only to leave early as rumors started circulating that the FBI had obtained a search warrant for his house and office.The story appears in The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Among the items seized were his computer .Alycia Lane is the anchor who garnered national attention after she sent bikini pictures to NFL Network anchor Rich Eisen which his wife intercepted. Her snarky reply was obtained by the New York Post's Page six .(Eisen's wife is college football reporter Suzy Shuster). Alycia Lane later got into more trouble for hitting an NYPD female officer during a drunken tirade in the early hours in New York.Full story here.

CBS3 sent her on early vacation and then fired her but a law suit against the station is still pending. These allegations against venerable Larry Mendte may be an upping of the ante against the TV station and its parent company Infinity Broadcasting.
