Again the music and film are mixed one more time for a new biopic. This time it's one of the great artists of soul music, Marvin Gaye, which will be played by another singer, Lenny Kravitz.

Lenny Kravitz is in one of the biggest challenges of his life, playing the soul singer Marvin Gaye in a "biopic" or what is the same movie that will discuss the artist, and for the first time become a protagonist film.

Those who follow his music career, Kravitz will also know that has played on the big screen roles as "Precious" or the saga of "The Hunger Games", in which, currently, is shooting the second installment (In Flames) and whose premiere will take place throughout 2013.

The biopic about Marvin Gaye that could be entitled "Midnight Love", as one of the albums made in 1982 by Columbia Records, will be directed by Julien Temple, filmmaker specializing in documentary music, leave aside the golden years of the singer and will focus at the time of decay, in which the problems caused by alcohol, fighting his addiction to cocaine and problems with Finance proved a molotov cocktail that ended with the death of the artist 1 April 1984 when, in eve of his birthday, his father fired two shots at one of the countless discussions and were motivated to attempt suicide several times. Although considered the darkest and hardest of his life, this was also the time when the singer tried to relaunch his music career with the help of British promoter Freddy Cousaert.

It is expected that the shooting of the film takes place in 2013 and is set mostly in Europe, although the soul singer died in Los Angeles.
