Lest we die of hunger

Accordingto the Holy Book, Jesus Christ fed thousands with five loaves of breadand two fish. Long before that, is an account chronicling the receptionby the Jewish people of gifts of manna from the heavens- this as theymade their way from Egypt to the Promised Land. 

Butthen, those were ‘Children" of God and they lived thousands of yearsago when such miracles were common place, both of these luxuries in short supply in our reality. In our world, alas, the cold truth is that we must either grow, tend and harvest food or else buy itfrom someone who did. So why then have we this preoccupation with all thingsholy and edible?
