UPDATED - Cue wild classic rock 'booing': It now appears that Led Zeppelin will not be playing Bonnaroo, although lead singer Robert Plant will still perform with Alison Krauss. Along with the Associated Press and other overly enthusiastic media outlets, we jumped the gun on proclaiming another Zep re-union show. Alas. But perhaps it might still be a remote possibility?

PREVIOUSLY - Cue wild classic rock applause: Led Zeppelin will be at Bonnaroo.

The newly reunited Led Zeppelin are to follow-up their hugely successful comeback concert in London with a performance at a festival in the United States.

The legendary rock band will headline the 2008 Bonnaroo Arts and Music Festival which takes place between June 13 - 15, on a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee.

The announcement is likely to fuel speculation that the band are planning a worldwide reunion tour.

Other great artists have also been added to the line-up, which has just been announced:
Pearl Jam, Metallica, Kanye West, B. B. King, Jack Johnson and Alison Krauss and Robert Plant...will be among the more than 100 acts at the seventh annual Bonnaroo Music and Arts festival this year, the organizers announced...the festival will also include Willie Nelson, Phil Lesh, the Mars Volta, Sigur Ros, Jack White’s Raconteurs, My Morning Jacket, Death Cab for Cutie, Levon Helm and the list goes on.
On the lesser-known side of the musical spectrum, I'm excited to see that a few of my faves are on board as well: Battles, Broken Social Scene, Talib Kweli, M.I.A., José González, and MGMT.

And, of course, it would fun to get the Led out too.

Are you planning to attend? Who are you most excited to check out?
