Reports of the death of Lil' Wayne are greatly exaggerated. This weekend, rumors that Lil' Wayne died spread across the internet like wildfire, thanks in large part to a fabricated BBC News report posted on a website that claimed Weezy was shot to death. By all accounts, Lil' Wayne is not dead, but alive and well.

Don't believe us? Even Perez Hilton, a man who deals with gossip for a living, says it isn't true.

Don't believe everything you read, especially when the URL from the source reporting the non-existent death is from a fake website replicated to look like BBC News!!!!

Anyhoo, Lil' Wayne is not dead.

Lil' Wayne seems to have become a target for online hoaxes. Earlier this year, another rumor circulated on the web that Lil' Wayne's daughter Reginae had died. Luckily, that rumor turned out be false. In fact, Weezy recently had a baby boy.
