Not content to conquer the worlds of rap and pop simultaneously, hip-hop superstar Lil Wayne is now rumoured to be recording an album of rock & roll.

Weezy has apparently drawn inspiration from by Kanye West's recent '808s & Autotune' excursion into emo-pop that came out late last year — but we can only speculate how Lil Weezy's singing voice might fare without that signature "robot-voice" effect.

And we already know what his guitar playing is like.

According to up-and-coming Canadian hip-hop artist Drake, Lil Wayne has been hard at work on a rock-oriented follow-up to last year's blockbuster Tha Carter III. "Wayne's coming out with a new album, it's a rock album. A complete rock album," Drake said, before explaining his new direction was partially inspired by Kanye West's ambitious new record, 808s and Heartbreak.
