Music. Done. Fashion. In the works. Blogging. Done. Films. Up next.
Lil Wayne has expressed interest to write a horror film. Lil Wayne is a huge fan of the genre and thinks he can add something special to it. All he has to do is convince himself he can do it.
"I always think I be trippin'," he said of the plans. "Like, you think you're too good. Shut your stupid a** up, you can't write no movie. I always sit down and be like, 'I'm gonna write me a movie.' Then about five minutes later I be like, 'You really think you're a little genius, don't you.'"
This won't be Lil Wayne's first step into film. He had a "blink and you'll miss it" cameo in the flop Who's Your Caddy film, he recently filmed scene in the upcoming sports drama Hurricane Season, and a documentary about his recent success is set to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.
The Carter is a documentary about Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. aka Lil' Wayne. An internationally known rapper, his most recent album went platinum in a week, and he just might be the voice of his generation. But this ain't no VH1 rock doc. Rather, it is an intoxicating, cinematic journey into the thoughts and world of an extremely complicated man whose creative force is something to behold. He never stops recording. He has a portable studio that he carries around in a black bag, and it allows him to lay down a track anytime anywhere. It is his pressure valve and makes him a refreshing anomaly in a sea of manufactured prefab ""singers."" His work is his own: unfiltered, uncensored, raw, and powerful.
