Lil Wayne's Music Video for "6 Foot Seven Foot" to air on MTV
His fans have been eagerly awaiting his new video "6 Foot 7 Foot" and tonight Lil Wayne is giving them what they desire.
The clip hits MTV airwaves this evening (March 3) at 7:54pm Eastern, after having debuted on MTV's website this morning.
In addition to Lil Wayne, the video also features Young Money rappers Lil Twist, Jae Millz, and Corey Gunz, who is making his high-profile introduction.
And according to a report, the "6 Foot 7 Foot" video borrows from the style of Christopher Nolan's hit film "Inception" with slow-motion, dreamlike sequences.
Sitting down to talk with MTV News, Lil Wayne recently dished on the pleasures of working with his YM partners Drake and Nicki Minaj .
The "A Milli" rapper told of Drake, "The first thing I said was this kid's a superstar. I don't think you can remember, but I did some interviews back then when they were asking me about him and I said he's better than me. I can't sing. I can make a song, but this kid has the actual R&B presence."
Giving Drizzy even more props, Wayne continued, "Then he's one of the dopest lyricists. That right there, he has a welcoming appearance. I knew he was something bigger than something I had envisioned for my company when I ran into this kid. I was thinking I'm going to put my people on and we're going to be all right, but then when I ran into this kid, I was like, this a superstar, he's got a chance to make my company something for real, something to be thought of, to be remembered."
As for Miss Minaj, Wayne told, "I can't front, I just thought she was going to be the new female MC that none of these other female MCs can touch. But now, she's blossomed into a megastar with this new attitude and this style. Now when I talk to her, I just tell her, 'Do what you do, baby.' I used to be able to go into the studio and say, 'Nah, don't say that, don't say that.' You know, 'That was better.' Now, do what you do, baby. I don't have a clue about what you're doing right now, but it's working, do it."
In related news, Lil Wayne is set to team up once again with singer/rapper Lloyd for a track on his new album, King of Hearts.
Wayne, along with Andre 3000, will be collaborating with Lloyd on a song called "Miss That Pu---" for the album which hits shelves on April 19.
