Lin Yu Chun on The Ellen DeGeneres Show

The "Taiwanese Susan Boyle" - Lin Yu Chun appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday, April 21. Ellen DeGeneres had a short interview with Lin Yu Chun asking him who inspired him and his message for other kids who have been bullied.

This is the first time Lin Yu Chun coming to the United States, but he was able to handle part of the interview in English without the help of his translator. Ellen asked who inspired him to stand on the stage. Lin Yu Chun said that seeing Susan Boyle and Paul Potts gave him the courage to perform on stage.

Ellen asked if Lin Yu Chun, as someone who had been bullied, had a message for those who's having a hard time among their peers. Lin Yu Chun responded that they should be confident, and that there's a reason for everyone's existence in the world. The best way to get back to them is to be more successful than they are, replied Lin Yu Chun.

After the short exchange, Lin Yu Chun performed the song that made him a star, "I Will Always Love You."
