SHAME ON YOU SPIELBERG!!!

Spielberg's "Lincoln" is an insult to black women! Even with Daniel Day Lewis' stunning depiction of this divided president, Spielberg's effort is an affront to the notion of slavery. Not only does the movie lack any depiction of this dehumanizing institution serving it only in argumentative terms for southern commerce, the film ends with a cheap joke and royal pimp slap to slavery's horrendous sexual legacy.  Spoiler Alert: The shameful last scene in the movie with Tommy Lee Jones in bed with his black mistress is an insult to the horrors, sexual brutality and death thousands of women endured during this shameful time in our nation's history.  Black woman were not the happy concubines of white men. Quite the contrary! They were routinely beaten, brutalized, raped and exposed to unspeakable acts of sexual degradation, diseases, not to mention being ripped from their children, their families and forced to work as "breed sows" and "milk maids" until the day they died! Black women suffered the double burden of slavery feeling both the broom handle and the diabolical antics of sex fiends. This movie swiftly brushes this fact under an oriental rug of Victorian society made worse by making black women appear as well dressed handmaidens, happily sleeping on frilly mattresses with their masters. Shame on you Spielberg!
