Lipstick Jungle Season 2 Episode 4 Preview

More media cuts were made Thursday, as the fledgling television series Lipstick Jungle and My Own Worst Enemy were both cancelled by NBC.

Multiple reliable sources have just confirmed that NBC has given the ax today to My Own Worst Enemy (starring Christian Slater) and Lipstick Jungle (starring Brooke Shields, Kim Raver and Lindsay Price).

NBC is not commenting. However, insiders say that no further episodes have been ordered for either series.

Despite a promising premise, Enemy never got off the ground in the Nielsens. Lipstick too, struggled to find a wide audience, despite a small but devoted fanbase and having received a second chance for a sophomore season. (Lipstick's first season was cut short by the writers strike.)

Well the cancelation of My own worst enemy shoulnd't be a shock to anybody.  Every New show that NBC has put and probobly will put in that time slot has been or will be canceled.

They should really continue "My own Worst Enemy". It think that Christain Slater is a great actor and I really enjoy seeing him play Edward and henery. NBC you should change your mind. I know alot of people and they are all really enjoying the show. Please NBC don`t cancel it. I think you are making a HUGE mistake if you are going to.

I cannot phathom why cancelling Enemy has taken place. That was the only show I could watch during the week. I truely liked that show. Make more. Keep it on.

I'm not a fan of either show - but I don't really watch the 10pm hour of primetime, I'm usually done watching tv after Chuck and Heroes - which I will seriously go postal / serial killer if either are cancelled. I can definitely see that the problem with My Own Worst Enemy is timing - I think they should try out other time slots - maybe Wedsneday at 8pm - I'd say replace 'life' with Enemy, enemy sounds a bit more exciting, I never could get into 'Life'.

Thursday nights are pretty much perfect - untouchable -except for Kath and Kim(too airheady), I say bring back scrubs, but that's my personal opinion. Office, Earl, 30 Rock are all awesome, ER is going great too, am curious to see what they replace it with, maybe heroes? (Hoping heroes runs as long as ER, lol).

Worked nights for 14 years and got quite used to not giving a damn about television -- got all excited though to watch My Own Worst Enemy on Monday nights one of the few nights I didn't work.  Switched to the day shift and it was even better.  I loved this show -- LOVED IT -- loved the premise, loved the characters.  And now it's been axed.

I guess I'll go back to ignoring television.  The crap they leave on mystifies me, and the one decent show I liked, they chop.  What, was it too intelligent?  Did the foreign countries scare people?  Relax folks, there'll still be reality tv.  I think I'll go read a book.  Books never quit on me.

Both were quality shows, both with dismal time slots, and poor marketing.

Its sad to know "Chuck," and "Kight Rider" NBC's other action shows will live another day while "Enemy" is cut.  This is upsetting as Enemy was a quality show with great acting and writing, while Chuck and Knight Rider feature plastic 2nd string acting and throwaway scripts.

Seems we are still stuck in an era of endless "twist" crime dramas, new age camp, and prime time reality contests/game shows. I wonder if its just the cheap production costs of this drivel sucking networks in, or if Americans just have that bad of taste now days.

I love MOWE.  Finally a show comes along that I really like... dang.  It's Alias with a cool mind twist.  What a total drag.

So, retarded reality shows, retarded remakes of a retarded show about a talking car, and a dweeb electronics store clerk who is a reluctant spy in love with an anorexic blonde is what Americans think is good television.  The Crapfest that is American TV has killed another intelligent show.  No wonder the world has such a low opinion of America.

I am a HUGE fan of "MY OWN WORST ENEMY". I wish it is given another chance at another season. The show is a combination of brilliance and originality. America does not have anything worth watching anymore. If only we could reach out to people and express how GREAT this show really is,they might start watching it during the next sseason. RATINGS!!!!! A sad,sad reason for getting rid of intelligence in America.

I adore Lipstick Jungle, its a much more grown up Sex And The City which I also love.... they must keep it on the air, what else are us girls going to watch???, more reality TV rubbish, god credit us with some integrity!!  We all need a break from our sometimes mad, sometimes dull lives and its the perfect tonic, its girlie, but a good girlie and doesnt leave you feeling like an airhead! God keep it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
