Lisa Rinna Has Undergone More Plastic Surgery to Reduce Her Famous Over-Sized Upper Lip

Lisa Rinna has now revealed that she underwent plastic surgery on August 26 to reduce the size of her upper lip, after years of criticism for her silicone injections in 1986.

In an 'after' photo published on TMZ (see below for 'before' photos), Lisa Rinna reveals a much smaller upper lip and she told People Magazine that she hated that her lips had started to define her as a person.

The decision to get silicone injections in her upper lip was an impulsive decision made with a girlfriend back in the 80s, but she took a lot of public criticism for her decision when she finally admitted it last year.

"I took a big hit for being honest. It gave everyone online permission to lambaste me. It hurt my feelings."

She now says it does not matter what others think; she did the reduction for herself.

As a result of the procedure, she says, rather than feeling "bumpy and uneven … my lip has no lumps! It's smooth."

She will still be recovering for about six months, but the star of the upcoming reality show Harry Loves Lisa, with her husband Harry Hamlin, says that she feels fantastic.

Natural beauty is accepting variations in us all and accepting things that are not that far from the average. The enhancements professionals make in good faith often come back to haunt us later in life. It's great that she is speaking out on this.Cosmetic dentistry and facial enhancement surgery has a huge potential for abuse. The expose 'Confessions of a Former Cosmetic Dentist' (book) is a contribution to the cause against unjustified & extreme cosmetic enhancement surgery. There is an interesting conflict between lip surgery and extreme veneer makeovers and you need to know more before doing them together.
