NP Rank:
List of Britain's Got Talent Finalists 2009: Susan Boyle to win?
The final of Britain's Got Talent 2009 has aired tonight in Britain, and there were 10 finalists competiting.
Did Susan Boyle win or did someone else's star shine?
The winner of Britains Got Talent 2009 has been announced.
Perhaps it will be Shaheen Jafargholi or Hollie Steel, both young singing favourites, or Stavros Flatley, the comedy dancing duo who vowed audiences and judges from the beginning.
Let's meet the finalists:
Susan is the most famous of the finalists, and wowed the judges from the first time she stepped on stage. At age 48, she claims she has never been kissed and has lived a rather sheltered life. However, she has been showing signs of cracking lately so perhaps fame is getting too much for her?
Adian Davis:
Adian is a street dancer, only 11 years old, from Birmingham and has never had a dance lesson in his life. The judges love him and think he is even better than last year's winner George Sampson.
Diversity:
This is a dance troupe of ten boys, ranging in age from 12 to 25 and most of them are brothers. They are already UK dance champions; Piers Morgan calls them 'genius'.
Stavros Flatley:
This father and son duo wowed the judges with their dance routein of Michael Flatley with a Greek twist, and their comdeic style is already a fan favourite.
Flawless:
These are ten men, aged 20 to 32, who formed four years ago as a dance troup and have already won the World Championships in 2006.
Hollie Steel:
Ten-year-old Hollie from Lancashire was the auditionee who everyone thought would be ballet dancing, but ended up wowing everyone with her sophisticated singing voice when she performed I Could Have Danced All Night.
Shaun Smith:
The 17-year-old singer has an amazing voice and has already shown big appeal to the teenage girl crowd.
Julian Smith:
This 39-year-old saxophonist received the highest public vote in his semi-final, and stands out against his fellow finalists of dancers and singers.
Shaheen is only 12-years-old but is considered to be Susan Boyle's main competition. He has been called a 'young Michael Jackson'.
Two Grand:
This unlikely duo of John Neil and Sallie Lax are 76 and 12 years-old, but have been singing together for over two years.. They are considered the outsiders to win, but it's anyone's guess at this point.

Well, whether Susan wins or not, she has become an icon for many around the globe and that makes her a big winner by it self.

I have several favorites but have to say that I'd love to see Julian Smith win the finals. He so amazingly talented - and humble. And as a Kenny G fan from way back, my heart just melts at the sound of that saxophone. Good luck to all of the participants. From here in the U.S. it's been truly inspirational for me to watch these wonderful people. I even developed a soft spot for hard-hearted Simon:-)

I am trying to vote on Britains Got Talent. First try I was informed to try again as the line was busy. I have tried numerous times since and all I get is a dead line (yes I have dialed the correct number). Seems a bit strange to me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

How did Two Grand get in the finals, and not Callum Francis? That's complete and utter rubbish.

I can't believe Callum Francis didn't make it. He should have been in the finals instead of the has-been grandfather and obnoxious granddaughter of Two Grand.

The awards of Britain has talent are almost just.
Diversity deserved it. But, I think there should be 3 sets of awards: A. combined (which has been rightly given to Diversity).
There should have been 3 divisions:
(i) Singing (ii) Dancing (iii) comedy/humour/fun
Thus, the results (as per my choice) should have been as such:
(i) Singing: 1. Susan Boyle, 2. Shaheen Jafargholi, 3. Hollie Steel
(ii) Dancing: 1. Diversity 2. Flawless 3. Signature
Congratulations to all those who were in semi final and final. Dears! all of you have GREAT TALENT.

I tried to vote for Flatley from 9pm - 9,45pm never got through, line dead or engaged. Mostly line dead tone . Managed a vote, straight away with my mobile.
I dont think the three judges can pick the acts for the semi finals.
How come Cowell hated so many of the semi-finalists who got two x's when so many good acts were rejected who had three.
I think they get to pick half of the semi finalists and the shows producers the rest.
I can't really believe those three let so much rubbish through.

When will the actual vote totals for each contestant be published?
at 15:24 on June 1st, 2009
Will we ever see the votes that each finalist received? I want to compare Diversity's and Flawless's. One would of have thought that these 2 similar dance groups would have come close to splitting the votes of those that like the dancers the best. On the other hand, I guess one could say that about all the singers as well. They need to have 3 categories: Singers, Dancers and Others.

I personally thought flawless were better than diversity but it was very close so i don't mind that much. I love Julian Smith he was brilliant -a true Kenny G :) i didnt really want Susan Boyle to win though :(
