Bangladesh vs West Indies 1st ODI Live Score.

The Test series may have been won 2-0 by the West Indies, but it wasn't as straightforward a victory as it appeared. The Tigers had many bright spots in those defeats, from debutant six-fers and centuries, to world class showings by Shakib-al-Hasan.

But the Windies still came through to win both games, and they are even stronger in the shorter formats, as evidenced by their World Twenty20 title. Coloured-gear cricket is their forte, and it's tough to see the Tigers taking more than one game off them out of the five to be played.

The hosts will be without key man Shakib for the first two matches as he has a shin injury and, depending on a scan in December, possibly longer than that. So they will need the more experienced guys like Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur Rahim to come to the party more than once.

The Windies, meanwhile, are without Tino Best, who tormented the Tigers in the Tests, taking a five-fer and a six-fer in the series. But he picked up a hamstring injury and has flown home to Barbados, giving uncapped fast bowler Jason Holder a call-up.

Chris Gayle will be hoping to get his eye in again after a disappointing Test series, where he didn't make a score over 25 in four innings. The Windies will want to avoid putting pressure on one man to do the entire job, be it Gayle or Samuels or new vice-captain Pollard, and instead replicate the team effort that won them the WT20.
