India vs England 2nd Test Day 2 Live Score.
Recalled England spinner Monty Panesar took four wickets but India fought back in the second Test in Mumbai thanks to a second consecutive century from Cheteshwar Pujara.
The home side finished day one on 6-266, a far healthier position than the 5-119 they had been in during the afternoon session on a turning Wankhede Stadium wicket.
Pujara (114 not out) and Ravi Ashwin (60 not out) have put on 97 for the seventh wicket, with England paying for James Anderson's drop at slip when Pujara was on 60.
That was off the Panesaar (4-91), easily England's stand-out bowler after being omitted from his side's nine-wicket loss in the first Test at Ahmedabad where Pujara scored an unbeaten double century.
The India No3 has so far faced 719 balls and batted for more than 15 hours without being out in the four-Test series.
