The Indian team, after taking a 1-0 lead in the first test in Ahmedabad squandered crucial momentum in the second, losing by a big margin of 10 wickets in Mumbai. The loss without doubt would have come as a big shock to the hosts but they will need to show great character to bounce back and regain the upper hand in the series.

The English on other hand will be over the moon at gaining a foothold in the series and proving their detractors wrong with a superlative display in Mumbai and will look to keep the pressure on India in their quest to secure a first series win in this country since 1984.

Both these sides will do battle yet again after a 10 day hiatus, in the third test at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata, to be played from December 5-9.
