At the end of 1st Day lunch session Srilanka scored 80 runs for 2 Wickets. Both teams share the honours in this session. Australia struck early, but Mahela and Dilshan bailed them out with a gritty stands, before Dilshan was dismissed by a snorter from Bird. Bird was the pick of the bowlers taking all the 2 wickets to fall. Mahela who promoted himself up the order is looking in solid touch and lot will depend on him if SL are to make a decent 1st innnings total.
