Living Light is an exhibition of sensuously engaging electroluminescent and bioluminescent installations. Biological and technological beings of light are used as live sculptural elements and the gallery is transformed into a meditative space.

Venue: Pixel Gallery
156 Augusta Avenue

'Light Sensitive' by Diane Willow is a new participatory artwork that engages people in contemplation as an interactive, social experience. The focal phenomenon for contemplation in Light Sensitive is bioluminescence. Within this installation, microscopic bioluminescent algae inhabit a series of interactive, sculptural vessels that contain seawater.

'Pixy' by Experientiae Electricae challenges the definition of video by transforming each pixel into an object and video into a volume, The resulting low resolution image becomes an immersive experience. Each pixel of the image is an autonomous physical element made from electroluminescent sheets that can be moved, placed on a volume and can become an object.
