LONDON

I contacted the organisers of the Peckham "Why I love Peckham" Peace Wall, Peckham Shed, as I was interested in writing a book with the messages after the London Riots and record them for historical purposes.

However, it looks that this may happen. I have just received an email from them that the Peckham Peace Wall that was set up after the riots and shown round the globe, may be made into a book for posterity by another writer. The organisers say they are in talks with Southwark Council.  There is also the possibility of the whole wall being moved into the Museum of London.

The Peace Wall is now in Peckham Library.  If you see 'shopkeepers are friendly', that's mine!

For more information, they have set up a Facebook Group 'Peckham Peace Wall' so far, it has 61 members.
