Lopez accused of 'worming' into inauguration

Jennifer Lopez has been accused of "worming" her way into celebrations for Barack Obama's presidential inauguration.

The singer and her husband Marc Anthony infuriated Democratic Party supporters after the pair agreed to appear at the Latino Inaugural Ball despite failing to support the President-elect during his campaign.

One party member called the couple "vile opportunists for worming themselves into anything Obama related even though they had nothing to do with his win", reports the New York Post.

Lopez has agreed to "speak" at the event, despite reportedly refusing to endorse the President-elect unless he called her personally.
