The promos intrigued me to watch ‘Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana’. Reason: Fresh pairing, fresh story and lots of humour. On top of that, it was an Anurag Kashyap production, so it was clear that the film will be different and so it was. Omi Khurana (Kunal Kapoor) has to return back from London coz he owes a don 50,000 pounds. His only hope is his Daarji (Grandfather) back home in Punjab who runs a dhaba. When he reaches Lalton Kalan, his village in Ludhiana, Punjab, things have completely changed and are quite different from what he expected.

Rajesh Sharma as Tutu Mama is the correct garnish that was needed for the film to look yummy. Rest of the supporting cast including Omi’s entire family was perfect for their roles. Dolly Ahluwalia who stunned us with her performance in ‘Vicky Donor’ too was a treat for the eyes, but the lady is a very small part of the film and leaves you wanting more of her. The best part about the film is the Punjabi tadka, the slang, Punjabi names that you will only get to hear in the interiors of Punjab. So kudos to writers Sameer Sharma and Sumit Bhateja for doing their job well.
