It appears, according to TMZ, that his death was a result of a drive-by shooting. M-Bone was standing next to his car in front of a liquor store at about 11:30pm, when shots rang out from a car driving down La Brea Avenue.

So far it appears to be a random act of violence, but M-Bone was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
