Scrapping the CBC would not be a wise idea. Especially for Canadians residing in the remote regions of Canada who have no other link for real time information with what is taking place in the Country. I suppose in the larger urban areas of Canada, CBC has fewer followers compared to the advid listeners in the northern communities.
All I would like changed on the CBC during the NHL season is to see fewer televised hockey games on a saturday night featuring the Toronto Maple Leafs.

I am sure if they want real time information about Canada and what's going on, the Internet is a far more comprehensive and cost effective source. Maybe the CBC should look at moving to the Internet. Afterall if they can get phone, satilite or cable service they can get the Internet.
