Once prolific singer and soon-to-be author Ryan Adams has married the once candy pop singer and occasional actress-lite Mandy Moore at a secret wedding ceremony held in Savannah, Georgia.

The unexpected couple wed just one month after announcing their engagement.

Interestingly, Adams will be joining the ranks of the recently-retired, as he has has abandoned his music career in favour of writing.

So one can suppose that it's only a matter of time before Moore quits acting and pop music for a new career as a rapper, right?
