Opening up for the first time since his split became public, Marc Anthony sat down with ABC News to talk about his marriage to Jennifer Lopez and what really went wrong.

Breaking his silence, the 42-year-old singer told the network he'll "always love Jennifer" when questioned about his former wife of seven years.

Hoping to clear up rumors surrounding the end of the superstar couple's relationship, Marc's interview will air in part on Thursday's "Good Morning America," with the "full exclusive" playing out on "Nightline."

The chat with ABC comes after Jennifer's initial post-breakup sit-down with Vanity Fair, during which she told the magazine she'd "always respect Marc as a singer and performer ... He will always be in our lives. He will always hold a special place in my heart as the father of my children."

The parents to 3-year old twins Max and Emme issued a statement last month announcing their decision to split.

"We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time."

Meanwhile it appears Marc and Jennifer's business ventures will go on without interruption, as they each just finished filming humorous ad campaigns for their respective clothing lines at Kohl's.

In new clips released to promote each of their collections, Lopez and Anthony are filmed during what's deemed 'just another day at the office'. The soon to be exes can be seen getting acquainted with the corporate headquarters building before becoming frustrated at the lack of star treatment they receive there.

In the first ad, Jennifer is stopped by security as she tries to gain access to the building. When she can't find her ID, the 41-year-old has a bit of a 'don't you know who I am?' moment, and ends up singing her hit song "Jenny from the Block" for the unimpressed guard.

As for Marc's spot, he's filmed struggling with the coffee maker before a staff member comes in and effortlessly gets it to work.

Another clip shows the Latin singer as he arrives in the office with a bunch of swathes under his arm, only to find a ringing telephone in the empty reception area. He proceeds to answer it and fails to correctly transfer a handful of calls. Exasperated, Anthony gives up and leaves with the phone still ringing.
