There was previously an auction that took place with the winning bid won by someone in Japan for $4.6 million, but they pulled out at the last minute saying that they couldn't pay.

The bidding this time starts at $500,000 starting on October 19th and it is being sold by Elsie Poncher whose husband Richard was laid to rest there 23 years ago. She is now using the auction to pay off her mortgage.

This auction will end on October 29th and this time requires a 1 to 5 percent refundable deposit, depending on what the bid is.

It could fetch millions of dollars. Other celebrities who are buried here include Natalie Wood, Dean Martin, Farrah Fawcett, Jack Lemmon and Truman Capote.

It is interesting to see that Elsie Poncher not giving up. Maybe starting out with a more reasonable bid will help.
