I watched Iron Man last night. For the longest time, I have been an avid fan of the Marvel Universe with Iron Man as one of my favorite heroes. But, I have to say that they really put Iron Man in a very interesting light. However, I would have to speculate that the story from the film had parts of the Ultimate Marvel universe.

But, I was impressed with the film. At the box office, Iron Man had raked in at least $200 Mmllion. his was definitely a big bang for Marvel Studios, which is a part of Marvel Entertainment. Still, when one watches the film, it may not be surprising to see that Iron Man brought in so much money. I happened to enjoy every minute of the movie.

There were parts that gave me plenty of laughs. Interestingly enough, Iron Man had put Made of Honor in a very distant second as it only made $15 million. It would look as if hero/superhero movies are in this summer. There is “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” that comes out on May 22.

A remake of The Incredible Hulk is coming out. Robert Downey Jr. who plays Tony Stark in Iron Man is confirmed to be making a cameo. It is logical as those familiar with the Marvel Universe know that Stark provided the equipment in which Bruce Banner used for Gamma radiation testing.

However, those two movies could be a prelude to a possible “Avengers” movie. Those who have stayed and watched the entire credits should already know.

Before the movie’s released, there have been fears that box office sales could be killed due to the release of “Grand Theft Auto IV.” It was estimated that Iron Man would only make $40 Million during its opening weekend. But, the current results have beyond exceeded expectations.

This could be foreshadowing that this summer’s movies will truly be a bunch of blockbusters.

It definitely feels that Iron Man is going to exist in more of an "Ultimates" universe.  I expect that Incredible Hulk will have a similar twist that was the after-credits treat in Iron Man.  Fine with me.

I'm just excited that the movie I'm dreamt about since I was reading comics with the classic red and gold got made.

This is what happens when you are planning an Iron Man party and you don't want to finish your master's thesis

MacGyver: One week in a cave with nothing but a box full of junk? Bah! I would have done the same in just half a day with a paperclip and a chewing gum!

Can Tran, I like this story. When I watched the movie on Friday, I was amazed by the CG stuff... I can't remember seeing this many details in computer generated scenes. Thanks for the review, it's good stuff.

What a Movie.  INCREDIBLE.  Puts all other superhero movies to shame. I sure hope this creates a new standard for hero movies.  Not one second of bore. Perfect pace throughout the whole movie.  I am glad I lived long enough to see MY FAVORITE hero on the big screen.  CHEERS to an awesome sequel.

  Ciao,
