Matthew Lewis: Neville Longbottom Then and Now
Matthew Lewis is Awkward No More
As we look back on, what, ten years of Harry Potter movies, it's clear that the cast has grown up before our eyes. While Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Tom Felton, and Bonnie Wright have turned into predictably studlier/hotter versions of their younger selves, one cast member stands out: Matthew Lewis.
Lewis, who plays Gryffindor goofus Neville Longbottom, began as a chubby, dorky kid who was always screwing stuff up. As the books progress, Neville pretty much turns into Rambo, but check out the real-life progression of the actor who plays him.
Matthew Lewis would be mocking you at the school reunion... if he wasn't too busy stealing your girlfriend.
Ten points for Gryffindor.
Neville Longbottom: Chosen One
Extra bonus factoid: There's a widely-spread fan theory that "the chosen one" is not actually Harry Potter at all, but Neville Longbottom. This theory is explicitly supported by none other than Albus Dumbledore, who later confirms that Potter is indeed the oh-so-special one. Still, all the factors that point to Harry can also point to Neville.
